THE MOST NATURAL CROCHET FAUX LOCS | BOBBI BOSS NU LOCS |

THE MOST NATURAL CROCHET FAUX LOCS | BOBBI BOSS NU LOCS | KEKE J

“Hey y’all! It's Kiki and I'm back with another video. And I'm going to be showing you how I get these beautiful gorgeous faux locs. I used Bobbi Boss Nu Locs in the 16 inches…I believe that was a 16 inch. And I used about five and a half packs. I saved the rest in case I needed those later. And I also added in these little gems is to give it an accent. All in all, this stuff probably took, not including the washing and deep condition, maybe about a good three hours because I was taking my time. It took no time to crochet it, in but with my freedom pattern I was kind of stuck on how to do that. I'll show you in the video here how I did this is braiding pattern. I did them straight back, no individuals only because, I've seen people unravel these kinds, but they don't really unravel to me and I don't want to be struggling and doing a leave out at the front and then it turns out to be bad. So yeah, and I do like the results. Pretty good if I do say so myself. But yeah, I'll be more than happy to show you how I got this style here. I say I used about five and a half packs and a crochet hook, that's all you need. And the thing I like about these are that they look so natural. Look at that. They're the realest thing I've ever seen in my life. Now, we have to start showing you how I got this style. Any comments or questions leave them down below. Stay tuned and I appreciate you guys for watching!”

“Okay so, I'm starting off with twelve braids doing here in the front... and those all connect into seven larger braids in the back. and I did go ahead and moisturize my scalp with my oil of choice. And here, you're just going to need a crochet hook. And I'm using the bobby boss nu locs and the 14 inches and the color 1b as well. and I used about five and a half packs of this and they were about $6.99 a pack. And this is just how they look outside. A nice texture and then just showing you the loop. Then, we're going to go in with our latch hook put that through the braid loop. the dread on the loop pull it through and then pull that tail in through that loop. And then, go ahead and pull that to secure it. I also have about three other crochet videos on my channel and they're pretty much all the same steps just pulling that hook through the braid flip the hair on the loop and pull it through secure. and I'll show you this a couple more times in case you're not familiar with that.”

“I'm glad that I did my braids larger in the back because if I did them any smaller, I would have had to get more packs of hair. And someone with me on a budget, that's something that I cannot do right now. But it's up to you. If you want to do smaller braids, you can it'll definitely be fuller, but I believe that this braid and pattern that I did the dreads were fool enough for me. any thicker I feel like I would have been looking like a lion. and that was my last loc. and here's just a view of how that looks all done. it's got a nice bounce to it. a nice natural sheen is well. it doesn't look very synthetic like other faux locs I've worn. but I do really like this it looks really, really natural and I'll just be showing you a preview of the back as well. So, you can see how that did look with the larger braids. It didn't look bad at all. and here I just added some gold accessories to my hair, just to add a little bit of personality. and they come to about the top of my breasts and that's a preview of where they come in the back. so not too long not too short. I really do like this style. hmm I can't wait till it gets a lot older as well and then it'll look even more natural. So, I'm excited about that. but yeah let me know you guys think. I really enjoyed doing this for you guys and I will see you soon.”

“So, that is how you crochet for locs using the bobby boss new locks. and I've been wanting to try this out for a long time I've been seeing a lot of people use these locks on YouTube and I'm not the type of person who's ordered hair online before, so I was kind of skeptical with that. So, I just told myself, oh I'll wait till I see it in a beauty supply store and I'll just pick it up there. Because with me I like to feel I like to feel everything. I like to see what it looks like before I actually buy it because everybody knows you can't return hair here. I finally found this at my local beauty supply store and I went in and picked em mugs up because I've been waiting to try this out. And I say though the wait was well, it was worth the wait because, please say you guys for watching if there's any questions comments or concerns like I say leave them down below and I'll be sure to get back to you in those. and that's all for today. y'all stay tuned I'm probably gonna do some hairstyles with this crochet here and then I'll also be showing you how I take them down. they've only been in for a week now I plan on keeping them for another week or two maybe a month because I am being lazy and it's getting cold and I don't want to do my hair. So, it's a great protective style for the colder months. and that's what I enjoy about crochet braids. I love crochet week um. well yeah so, I do appreciate you guys and I'll see you in the next one. Bye!”

How To Do Your Own Faux Locs | Individual Crochet Method | Nu Locs By Bobbi Boss

How To Do Your Own Faux Locs | Individual Crochet Method | Nu Locs By Bobbi Boss | Makeba

“Hey guys! Today I'm going to share with you all the details on this Faux Locs that I have been rocking lately. So, this hair is by Bobbi Boss and it is called Nu Locs. It is indeed crochet honey! Crochet! Which means you can complete this style WAY faster than your traditional Faux Locs.”

“So, let's talk about how I installed this. Okay, so, I started out with my hair blown out, stretched out and then I created two rows going across my head from ear to ear. And then, within those two rows, I created subsections that just kind of helps the install process, when I do the individual crochet, go a little bit faster. Now, I did that same thing all around my head because initially I wanted to have leave out all across my perimeter. But I kind of run out of time so I actually only ended up doing two rows in the front, of individual crochet. However, if you want to have maximum versatility, this is a great way to kind of lay it out before you start installing.”

“When I say that the hair is crochet hair, that means that each dread comes pre-made individually and you're going to be latching and hooking it into your hair. So, here I'm going to be doing the individual crochet method as opposed to attaching it to a cornrow. So, I do an individual braid. Then, I take the crochet hook and slip it through the top of the braid. Then, I take the bottom of the lock and I attach it because I find that with these, because they're so inconsistent which is what makes them look super natural, they're kind of hard to pull through. So, I find it a little bit easier if you take the ends, set them right at the bottom, as opposed to pulling through the middle and then you pull right through. There you go! See that? I'm sorry that's not clear and it's kind of blurry. That’s what happens when you're filming yourself.”

“So, once it's through, it should be able to slide back and forth fairly easily. Then you're going to find the little hook, the little loop at the top of the dread. Now, these are very tight as I had mentioned. They're not super dense, they're just denser compared to a lot of the other ones that I've ever used. But, so the tip is kind of hard to open up, so just take your time and kind of find that little loop. Then you're going to feed the end through the loop and slide it up to your scalp.”

“Then, you're going to unravel the dread a bit. So, you're going to twist in the opposite direction from which it's wrapped and that kind of opens up the dread because they are hollow inside. So, once it's opened up, now you can wrap your hair within it in the direction that it was wrapped originally. Do you get me? You just wrap in the opposite direction first to open it up. Then, you're going to wrap it in the direction that it was originally. You'll know when you're wrapping in the wrong direction because it will not stay in. You'll be wrapping and it's just unraveling. So, make sure that you wrap first opposite to open. Then, you wrap in the same direction to conceal your braids within the hollow dread. And again, I apologize, this video was kind of blurry. I don't know, this video was a challenge for me to record and get up in there, while also trying to do it at the same time. We are basically going to wrap till the end of your hair.  So, if your hair is short you do not have much wrapping to do. That’s awesome!”

“There you have it. I completed this across the whole front of my head until I had no more left. So, once I was done with the front, I went straight to the back and I braided everything straight back like prison braids. Like I said before, right at a time, I couldn't leave out my whole perimeter, so I went all the way straight back. I separated that into two parts, flipped them over each other and sew them down. Then I moved on to the super easy part, which is adding the crochet in the back, the traditional way. Feed it through, find the hole, loop it through and let it go. That's it!”

“Then, you can move on to the next section. This part, you don't need to wrap the dreads around anything so it's perfect and so quick! And, I continued this throughout the entire back of my head. Now, I used six packs in total. I had three packs of four and two packs of number two and one pack of 27. So, you can see I have a mixture of “le color” because I kind of wanted to go for a very billow, free kind of vibe. So, in my opinion, these are some of the most natural looking crochet locs that I have seen on the market because every loc is different. They're not all perfectly uniform. My only complaint is I wish they were longer honey! Oh!”

“Can I mention as well, these locs also are super natural, because I don't even need to fix my edges. They can just be free, they don't need to be tamed and laid because it looks even better when they're just kinky and nappy and doing what they do best. You know what I mean?”

“Alright guys, I hope you found this video helpful! Muah!”

EASY FAUX LOCS TUTORIAL | PROTECTIVE STYLE |

Easy Faux Locs Tutorial | Protective style

“Hey everyone! Welcome back my channel! So, yesterday on snap, I posted a picture of my hair and you guys, a lot of you loved it! And, I love it too honestly. It’s the easiest hairstyle I think I've ever done, and I'm so in love with it. up I don’t think I’m ever going to take these out. I was going to try the different colors. They have these in 27, the blonde or a light brown. I was going to have fun with these because it's honestly so easy and so cheap. I paid 30 dollars for this hair and did it myself.  So, I'm all about saving your money and yeah so make sure you guys follow me on snap chat, and Instagram as well. So yeah, let’s get right in!”

You can have lots of faux locs hairstyle at Beautykrew  and also this tutorial also how to install faux locs step by step

“The first thing you're going to need some gel. I didn’t show you guys how I set my edges because I didn’t want to get too much gel on them. But, I’ll show you guys the gel I use. I use ECO style gel, the crystal one. I like the green bottle, the green box, the green jar one, it’s all one,  because it doesn't make the edges crusty, so I can just wash it out at night. But, then you are going to need a crochet needle. I ordered mine from the Beautykrew.com that I bought my hair. Me personally, I use four packs of the Bomba Dreadlocks Faux Locs Soul. Make sure you get the Soul addition. I got another addition and it was too skinny and I didn’t like it. So yeah this is the one that looks juicy and, you know as real as it can get as far as for dreads. so that's me much all I need. So, let’s go ahead and jump right into the tutorial.”

“Luckily, I have a few locs left. So, I’m just going to take down a couple. We're going to take down a couple of locs and I'm going to show you guys how easy it is to take it out and put it back in. I’m going to take this one down because its already sliding out anyway. So, I'm going to kind of find my braid goes and pull it right out and then there is going to be a little knot; just going to pull it and then pull it right back through. So, then the lock will slide right out. So I have two little singlets that I braided in. Going to take it down. So again, find your braid up top, pull it out of the dreadlock. So, there its out and then there's a loop at the top. I’m just going to pull it straight through. “

“I don’t think I’m going to reuse these locs. But, for the sake of the video, I wanna show you guys how I got it to look like this, like all shaggy and destressed at the ends.  So, three braids out. I wanted to redo this one anyway. So, I'm going to take this out. That was, the easiest to take out. So now that we have these braids out, I used four packs of the Bomba Dreadlocks. They look like this. I just googled the name, cause I saw Ivy sleek styles use the same hairstyle, so I wanted to use this hair. So, I went all over google and let me tell you guys. This hair is hard to find. I will have the link where I got it in description box. It has 15 dreads in each so a total of 60. So, you want to kind of think of that while you’re braiding your hair of course.”

“So, I did like 50…I mean…I have four left. I did 56 braids like this so just random parting. In the front I kind of tried to a uniform parting, like one set side part by having a nice flip over. I just really wanted a side part to be the main focus. But, I just free parted the back. I wasn't looking in the mirror back there. Because I didn't want it to be too uniform, so I just went ahead and did a random part in front and in the middle and in the back. But I made sure the front looked somewhat in unison in a put back. Like, you see? It looks even. They don't flip the back like that. So, in the front is your main priority and then in the back just separated. Those are little single braids, nothing crazy and even braid the ends. The ends are just twisted up cause they were twisted into the dreadlock. But, very, very simple. You're also going to need a crocheting needle. You can find them everywhere I believe. I ordered mine from other near from the same website I got my hair from. So, you're going to need a crochet needle and dreadlocks.”

“So, what you're going to do is, you're going to take the needle, close it from the little clamp on there. It has a little clamp on there, so you got to make sure its closed before you go into your braid. So, put your finger on it and then stick it up, underneath the braid, at the base. And then it should come right out. And then what you’re going to do is take your dreadlock, it has a little loop on it. All dreadlocks have a premade loop, and I need to stick the loop onto the needle, like that, you can see. Then you want to close needle and bring it through the base of the braid. Then, you take the needle off, hold the braid and the loop, and then pull both of them through the hole and then, pull tight. And, it’s not anything crazy like super tight. Then you're going to just feel the direction where the dreadlock twists up. So, you want to feel the direction that it unravels and then you’re going to just start to wrap your braids around the dreadlock. You really want to make sure it's tight at the root so that you don't have the braid peeking through. and then just twist it, literally just twist it around. So it should kind of look like this.”

      ,

“You guys, this hairstyle is so easy like I was talking to people on my snapchat, and I was telling them that I was reaching out to a few hairstylists for the cost of this hairstyle and majority of them were $400 and up. The max that someone told me was $500 to do this hairstyle.  This hairstyle is so easy. You saw it, I just put it through the hole and then you wrap it around, that’s it. I literally just wrap it around my hair. Depending on how fancy you want to get it to, I didn't want mine too fancy. I just wanted very simple so I just got the some beads. People like to have curly ends coming out like that. I want it very simple, I want it to look as real as possible. So, that's why I like this style. But anyways, you can see that the dreadlocks is now on my head.”

“Alright, so now let's do another one. I take braid, stick it through. Clamp the dread onto the hook, a little bit closer. Pull it back out, put your finger through the loop, pull the braid and the dreadlock. Very important, I tried it without pulling the braid through but, they were going to show. So, make sure you should pull with both the dreadlock and the braids through the loop. Then you want to pull it, tight. And then again, at the base, feel for where the raveling direction goes and then follow that direction. In other words, then I want to just wrap it around. Make sure that its tight at the roots so that your braid doesn’t peak through. You want to make sure you get a color that's very similar to your hair if you want to look natural. That’s why this is so easy for me, because my hair in jet black and the dreadlocks are jet black so it blended it very easily. Even, some of them have the braid coming but it’s obviously not that noticeable whatsoever.”

“When you get to the ends, pull it and twist it back up again since they tend to loosen up. And then you have it dreaded guys, it’s all done! Alright, lets do this little baby one down here. You see how fast I’m going? This took me 6 hours, but I was watching Netflix. So, it all depends on what you're doing at that time. If you stay focused, you guys can honestly probably finish in 3 hours. The longest part is probably the braiding, that's it. Alright, so again, I’m going to take it, put it on the hook, pull it through and that time I didn't even have to close the clamp. I just et it close as it was going through. It automatically closed on its own so. Pull it tight, follow the unraveling of the dread. Then, you just twist it. And then, my last one right here that I'm going to do. So Again, take the needle put your dreadlock on the hook, it’ll close on its own if you pull through and then, take the hook off.  Then pull the braid and dreadlock through the loopPull it tight at the root and then follow the direction of the lock unravelling. Sorry you guys for that beeping noise, that’s my alarm going off. And, then, literally just wrap it around.”

“Boom! And you're done with your dreadlocks you guys! But yeah you guys, that it! That’s pretty much how I get the crochet on there. But, I’m going to show you guys ,you see the ends? I want it to look like this, a little longer and more distressed. So, I'll show you guys what I do. This is what it looks like. This is the before and this is the after. So, what you want to do is take a blow dryer, put it on high heat, then, turn your blow dryer on and literally pull the dreadlock like this, and then blow it out. See how the dreadlocks stretch out? And, that’s because this hair is either Kenakalon or Synthetic. So, it burns easily, allowing the dreadlocks to form those ends again. “

“What it do YouTube! I’ma let you know right now that my voice is not about to match the picture for this little scene because my camera did not record my voice in silence. But anyways, I'm rambling on about me doing crochet for the first time and that we might learn together. And, if I can't teach you something, somebody else can because there's a million videos out there.”

“So, I wrap my hair in this scarf, so I can go about my day with my braid pattern underneath. I want to show you my braid pattern here…”

“I wanted this to look as natural as possible. So, I'll put singles around my perimeter and then did about eight braids going back into the big massive braid that I had to sew up with some regular thread. I chose to use the Bomba Dreadlocks from Bobbi Boss because I've seen them everywhere and I was like, they look so natural and I love how I customized the ends and it will be nice and coyly to give it like a goddess look! So, right here I just split the hair and I am braiding it up, so I can get a wavy appearance. After I get done with braiding the locs, I dip them in very hot water, so I can hold their shape. And this is how the ends look once they are dry. Here, I'm just showing you the size of the loop and how well it's constructed. You're going to insert your open latch hook into the base of the braid and put your crochet loc on there. Close the latch hook, and then pull the dread through the braid. Now, take the end of the loc, put it on your latch hook, close it, and then pull it through the loop. Make sure to pull your dreads tightly so you don't have to be picking dreads up off the floor and try to throw them in your purse…NO! I want to show you another close-up of how to do this because I'm telling you, I struggled. I ruined at least five dreads in the process of trying to learn how to crochet. But you know, we don't show you that, we just show you how to do it. We don't show you the struggle.”

“Now, that we’ve tightened that, I'm going to show you how to hide your braid inside the loc. You want to be careful doing this. You want to insert your hook into just a small section and make sure that you get your hook all the way at the top, so you don't have that braid showing like I do in the other one. You can see it peeking through. Close your latch hook and then slowly slide it through the loc. Keep doing the same process until you hide your entire braid.”

      *Demonstrates how to hide braid*

“This is what it looks like so far, with just doing the individual braids in the front. Now, onto the back. This part was easier because I just put my loc on the hook, already inserted in my braid and then pulled it right through and tightened it. Don’t mind my mosquito bite, I tried to film this outside, and I thought was a great idea until started getting eaten up. I was like it's time to go!”

“Here we are! Got some dreads decorated

HOW TO CROCHET AND EXTEND FAUX LOCS INDIVIDUALLY | BOMBA DREADLOCS FAUX LOCS SOUL

HOW TO CROCHET AND EXTEND FAUX LOCS INDIVIDUALLY | BOMBA DREADLOCS FAUX LOCS SOUL| CHAOTIC ALLURE

“Welcome back to my channel! This is Chaotic Allure here and it's been a while since I showed you guys how I crochet faux locs. And, you know, tis the season, the faux locs cause it's getting a little cold and it's fall! In this video, I'm going to be showing you guys how I do my faux locs and how I extend them to be 36 inches long. So, they look like this and they look very natural and they're in individual parts. So, really quickly, the hair I'm using is the Bomba Dreadlocks Faux Locs Soul. Make sure it's the one that says soul because the one that does not say soul is extremely skinny. They look like this as you can see. But, on my head, they look a little bigger because I unraveled them, which you guys will see in the video.”

“Each pack has 15 faux locs in it. And, I ended up ordering four packs, but used three and some change. The only reason why I used some of the fourth pack is because I was doing a lot of trial and error. This is in the color 1B. So, if you guys want to know how I achieved these faux locs and how I made them 36 inches long, let me know. I'm going to stand up and show you guys really quick where it stops at. Some of them are shorter than others and I felt like I didn't want all of them to look the same because I want it to look as natural as possible. So, if you guys want to know how I create this you know look keep on watching!”

“I'm going to leave all the materials in the description box. Let's get into the video. Okay so, what I did is, I started with the freshly washed hair and this is pretty much it. I put in some leave in oil on my scalp and that's about it. So, my hair is clean and braided and I have 30 braids and I just have them kind of like crazy because I couldn't really see but this is it. I'm using the Jazz Nicole method, and this is how I do my faux locs and how I extend them to make them longer. I'm taking my crochet needle and I'm just putting it through the middle of the braid like this. I'm taking this crochet here at the top and I'm opening it a little bit and I'm placing it into the hole and I'm closing it. I pull it through

like this and then I'm taking two fingers, I'm taking my hair and the faux loc and I'm pulling it through hole like so.”

“After I do this, I'm pulling in on to the faux loc. This step is very, very, very, very important! You have to check on the direction where the dread, the faux loc, I mean unravel, so that you could go with your hair like this. For me, it goes like this to open it so I'm taking it and I'm just going to wrap it around my natural hair like this while I'm unraveling it. The Jazz Nicole method never fails! I absolutely love this method.”

“And, this is all I'm doing until my hair is completely covered. The back for this I kind of pulled it down a little bit like this. So, this is what's really this is the hair now. So, let's compare the hair from before and after. Before it was like this right, it looked neat. And now comparing the two, it looks a little bigger and looks more like a realistic faux loc. So, I'm taking a lock and I'm going through the middle and I'm just going to unravel it.”

“Okay so, now we have one long dread and I like it pull it down like this, making sure I find the middle. I'm taking this at the bottom and I'm separating it. I'm placing this right in the middle, so it would be like this. You guys see, it's in the middle of it. I'm going to tie it twice, like this. And, now I have this. So, I'm still looking at the way that this unravels. I'm starting up and I'm just wrapping it. I'm wrapping it up and like this I'm just wrapping it around. I'm just wrapping it down. Pretty much all I'm doing is wrapping it over. And as you can see, there is no lump or anything. It just looks like a long dread. So, this is it. This is pretty much all I'm doing, and it starts looking like this.”

“See it's just run one long dead. I'm just going to finish doing this all the way down and I'm going to show you guys how the bottom looks like after I'm done. So, when you get to the bottom, it starts to curl up. Pretty much all I do is just wrap it like this around and this is it. It's giving you this because it unravels and this is the loc, Yes you see, this is pretty much a loc. It looks super natural and it’s a long loc. It goes right past my butt, like under it. Some of them are longer than others. I'm going to show you guys one more time. I'm putting it through like this I put it through the little hole and I pull it through and I make sure I just hold it with my two fingers like this. I'm taking my hair and my faux loc and pulling it through like so. I'm holding the faux loc and I pull it really tightly and then I pull on my hair too. So, we have the hair and a faux loc.”

“Again, most important part is, you have to figure out which way that the faux loc unravels. So, for me it would be in this direction. I'm going through and I'm wrapping it around the hair like this. I'm going to keep wrapping around until I cover my entire hair like my natural hair. So, this is the faux loc. I was about to show you guys, it goes like right next to my boob right here. If you didn't want to extend it then you would be done, and this is it. But, to extend it, remember I take a faux loc and I go through the middle and I open it. I would literally go in the middle like this and just pull it apart and it would look like this is. The same length and everything. It's just it would look like this instead. And, what I'm doing is I go to the bottom and I find where it splits in half, over here like this. And I'm placing this again and here. So, it would look like this. And, I'm tying it twice, just so that it would be really secure.”

“Okay, so this is what we have again, I'm holding this and now I'm going upwards, finding the way it unravels again is a key. It goes in this direction, so I'm just going to go over it like this. and I'm just going to wrap it. and I know I keep repeating myself but, I just want to make sure that you guys understand exactly what I'm saying. What I mean by wrapping it around is this is it. And I'm just wrapping it down and I'm pulling a little bit as I go down and I'm just going to continue wrapping it until I reached the end. Pretty much, generally like this. See? it looks natural, there are no bumps you can't tell where I put it.”

“So, it's just an extra, extra long dread. This is pretty much how I do my faux locs using the jazz Nicole method. Let me show you guys how to untie it and I can show you guys exactly what it looks like. You can flip it on this side you can do any kind of hairstyle you want with it. Parting it is no problem. It looks really natural, as you guys could see. I'm not sure you guys can tell where it starts and where it finishes. So yeah, these are my crochet locks and how I extended them to become longer!”`
